Committee Persons -

Position Descriptions

Commodore:
Represents the club, chairs meetings, coordinates/delegates activities, covers for others, writes Commodore Corner for the EYC Log and is the final decision maker.

Vice Commodore:
Assists the Commodore, draws up duty roster, advertising, heads subcommittees for major functions (eg. Oktoberfest, Australia Day) and organises social activities.

Secretary:
Collects and records mail, writes minutes, handles correspondence, maintains membership lists, makes membership cards and keeps the key register.

Treasurer:
Pays and records wages, liases with the accountant to organize monthly statements, reports to meeting, oversees and records all income/expenses and prepares function accounts.

Sail Commodore:
Preapres sail calendar, organises races, records results, purchases prizes, issues radio report, maintains handicaps and organises maintenance of club yachts.

Power Commodore:
Maintains rescue boat and appoints a skipper, appoints a timekeeper, sets race buoys and supports Sail Commodore.

Bar Manager:
Maintains and stocks drinks, prepares till floats, organises keys for bar staff, manages and books bar staff, orders and collects food for trading, gives wages books to Treasurer fortnightly (Paid two hours/week @ $16 per hour).

Function Manager:
Liases with Secretary regarding bookings, reports staff hours and bar trading to Treasurer (Function fee of $25 to Function Manager).

General Committee Person: Attends meetings and supports the work of the club.
